Description

Tungsten carbide armored Nozzles Introduction:

Brass armored nozzle designed for tough site conditions.  The armored jacket protects carbide liner from impact or ricochet damage. Our UDLB-8 nozzle has a 1/2″ bore, 1″ entry, tungsten carbide liner.  Encased is a brass ergonomic jacket with Knurling and grooves make it easier to grip. This tough nozzle is fitted with industry standard  1-1/4″ NPSM  threads that fit standard female threaded nozzle holders. 

Carbide Liners:

Do not use Tungsten carbide blast cleaning nozzles with abrasives containing aluminum oxide or silicon carbide. Aluminum oxide is very aggressive and will quickly wear out tungsten carbide. We recommend using a nozzle fitted with Boron carbide liner when blast cleaning with aluminum oxide or silicon carbide.  This type of nozzle  will outlast one made with tungsten carbide liner.  Tungsten carbide is material of choice in tough site conditions where nozzles are subjected to rough treatment including impact.  A  lighter weight version of this nozzle is model UDC-8AC.

Good Nozzle Practice:

Check nozzles regularly for any damage to liner.  Replace nozzles with damaged liners.   Replace nozzles  with a liner bore worn over 1/16″ from original (new) bore size.  Check that washer is on threaded end of nozzle, if washer is missing or worn replace with a new one.
