Wide spray BCI-516 Boron carbide insert

Description

 wide spray BCI-516 insert for close up blast cleaning with a wider spray pattern.

Wide spray insert BCI-516 is made from Boron carbide and has a flared exit.  BCI-516 insert has a 5/16″ bore that gives a larger blast pattern when compared with an insert which has a standard straight bore exit.  Our BCI-516 is used in smaller blast cleaning applications,  like those that perform work in blast cabinets or in auto workshops. Typically this type of work is carried out close to the surface of the part being blast cleaned.

Boron carbide has better wear properties than tungsten carbide or silicon carbide. We recommend using Boron carbide nozzles and inserts when blast cleaning with aggressive abrasives like aluminum oxide.

Good Nozzle or insert practice.

Check nozzle or insert for wear or damage before using. If  bore is worn more than 1/16″ over  original bore size then replace the nozzle or insert as the additional air need to maintain blasting pressure might not be available or economic. If liner or insert is damaged then replace with a new liner.
