Description

Short throat sleeve Tungsten carbide for 2″ to 12″ Pipe ID – Holloblast style pipe cleaners.

Short throat sleeve Tungsten carbide, is used on throat rod. Two throat sleeves are needed for each throat rod.  The two tungsten carbide sleeves are of different length, there is a long sleeve (UBN-SB-TCSLL)  2.56″ long and a short tungsten carbide sleeve (UBN-SB-TCSLS)  approx 2″ long.

If you are looking for a longer lasting throat sleeve then  look at our Boron carbide sleeve (UBN-SB-BCSL).  Boron carbide wears longer than tungsten carbide due to its superior wear properties over a wide range of abrasives.

Tungsten carbide  throat sleeve are also available.  Tungsten carbide is a tough material and will hold up well in situations where the part is likely to be impacted during use.

One of the most difficult blast cleaning operations is the internal bore of a pipe/tube. Pipes come in a many different I.D.’s from small e.g. 1/2″ I.D. to many feet wide.  There are different machines available for doing cleaning work on the large bores. Nearly all these machines  are expensive and difficult to maintain.  We can help with some of the maintenance cost by having available a number of replacement carbide wear parts. In some cases the I.D. of a tube is so small that it is difficult to find a nozzle small enough to fit the I.D. We may be able to help with our lance style nozzles that have a small O.D. Please see our MAC 4 nozzles to see if these will work with your application.
