Sandblasting Gun insert – TCI-62W

Description

Wide Spray insert tci-62w for grit blast spray guns. 

Wide Spray insert TCI-62W,  has a flared exit for increased spread of  abrasive blast pattern.  This increased blast pattern size is useful when cleaning surfaces of larger parts.

These Tungsten carbide liners work with many abrasives except those containing aluminum oxide or silicon carbide.  For these type of abrasives we recommend using Boron carbide nozzles or inserts. In this case our TCI-62W can be switched to a BCI-62W liner. Both liners have same dimensions and will fit the same blast guns.

We offer a wide range of alternative bore sizes in this insert design, ranging from 1/4″ to 1/2″.  These sizes are also available in our Boron carbide version.   Some of these inserts are used in blast guns that have a different locking mechanism that need a flange on insert.  Please see our TCI-6E  ( BCI-6E) for a picture of these style inserts.

Since these liners can extend beyond the barrel of some blast cleaning guns, they can be exposed to impact. If you are blast cleaning in an application where the liner can be subjected to impact, there are 2 options available: (1) Do not impact the liner, especially if you are using a boron carbide liner or (2) If you cannot avoid impacting the liner then use a tungsten carbide liner only. Reason: Boron carbide is a brittle material and can break when impacted. If the gun you are using allows the liner to be completely inserted down into the barrel then it should be OK to use a boron carbide liner.
